"The house was
beautiful, and the scenery breath-taking. There was so much to do! It
was the best vacation our family has ever taken. We will be renting
again!"

"Thank you once again for the opportunity to rent your vacation home. It was perfect for us. The house was simple, but had all the essential items to enjoy a much needed vacation. The beds were very comfortable and the air-conditioning, specially in the summer was perfect. The property is in a safe and secure area and just above the river where you can go fishing and go for a swim."
"We first went to Seneca Rocks - what an awesome and majestic rock formation! The visitor site is also a place to go for a sense of history and context of the area. Then we went on to Dolly Sods (That was a definite highlight!). We loved going up the gravel road up the mountain on our Jeep 4X4. THIS IS A MUST SEE for the for the big boulder skipping, peculiar Canadian-like flora and fauna exploring, cool air breathing, adventure hiking and if you have more time, among the stars camping! At the end of the 7 mile gravel road up on the mountain, prepare for the most jaw dropping beautiful vistas in the whole of WVA. To see this, you have to go through a maze of white boulders that is safe enough for kids to skip over. Once you get to the top, there is a full 360 degrees of scenery that can make your hear weep in awe. The white wind-blasted boulders remind one of Greek ruins scattered by a meadow, framed by gentle spruce trees, and finally wrapped by soaring vistas. Its truly a sight to behold. I could imagine how beautiful it is there in the Fall. A picture perfect place indeed! You can stay there for hours just soaking it in... and we did! And it's ALL FREE! Wow!"
"When we went back down into town, we had ice cream at one of the Gas Stations and chatted with the local folk - very pleasant! We then went to Smoke Hole Caverns. It was worth the admission. The big room with all the stalagmites and stalactites was picture worthy and quite a sight. On Sunday, we went down by the river for a swim. The river views were also picture perfect with the high cliffs and the green woods on both sides. The water was just right and that was also a nice treat for the children! Altogether, we had a great time. We built up on our treasure trove of great moments again and came back home content and refreshed. Once again thank you. It was a brief vacation but much needed indeed. West Virginia always does that to us. Its not far to drive there but once your there, it seems far indeed."

"Totally enjoyed the stay!! The view of the mountain from the porch was an absolute treat to wake up to in the morning!! Plus, we loved how the clouds roll through in the morning and in the evening. We hit a couple of places that you recommended like Dolly Sods which was nice and peaceful to hike the trails. We went to Seneca Rocks and did the hike to the top which was an amazing view. On the way up the trail we ran into a baby buck that wasn't scared of us at all and let us get within 10 feet from him which was cool. Overall, had a wonderful time and hope that we can come back again in the future!! Thanks again for your hospitality and letting us use the house. We had a blast!!!!!"

"My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend in West Virginia. The full kitchen was extremely convenient, the bed was more than comfortable, and the satellite TV let this sports junkie stay in touch with his teams. More importantly, that part of West Virginia is simply breath-taking! We hiked North Fork Mountain, drove around Smoke Hole and walked throughout the Dolly Sods area (which was our favorite). And the drive from DC was not bad at all. We're already planning our next visit."
